Vermont newborn photographer / Quinton’s newborn session
The P family welcomed baby Quinton (loving his name btw) in early 2018. Quinton joined his family that already included the most adorable big sister and brother, making this an amazing in home lifestyle newborn session to photograph. The big kids loved their new little brother and loved on him the whole time I was in their home. This sweet baby boy loved to be snuggled and wasn’t a huge fan of being swaddled. This was a fun session for me to photograph, not only is family super sweet but I have know Dad since childhood. It’s always extra special to photograph childhood friends and their families. To top off a wonderful session their home had the greatest dramatic light in the downstair bedroom, where most of Quinton photos took place.
Welcome earth side Quinton, you are so loved. I am honored to have been able to capture the first “official” photos of this fun family.
I am still booking late spring into late summer newborn sessions. Contact me today to start planning your custom newborn session.

Vermont & New Hampshire newborn photographer / Newborn photos
For all of you that follow my work on a regular bases, you know that I LOVE newborn photography. After a few years growing my newborn photography career, I thought I would share my story and how “The Minimalistic Newborn” was born.
I started dabbling in newborn photography while I was pregnant our fifth child back in 2012. I spent the next few years learning the basics of newborn photography, safety and posing. Fast forward to 2015 I knew something was lacking in my work, I didn’t feel like an artist. At one point I thought about not offering newborn photography, I wasn’t happy with photographing babies in buckets or props. I knew I was drawn to timeless portraiture and simple posing. One night I decided to sell off my 99% of studio prop collection. I said goodbye to overstyled, over posed portraits and haven’t looked back. I now offer my clients in home sessions both a minimalistic style or lifestyle. I wanted to share a few of my favorite newborn images.
The past two years I found my voice as an artist, even being featured in print and on some of my favorite photography forums. All while embracing the style I want my work to be, all while giving my clients beautiful heirloom artwork they would treasure for a lifetime. Turning my clients stories, into my art.
Over the past year, I have started teaching and sharing my passion of minimalistic newborn photography to other photographers. I love helping others find their voice as an artist, I am very excited for this new chapter to grow.
I would be honored to capture such a special time in your life. Contact me today to start planning your custom newborn session.
Vermont Child & Family Photographer / Bethel Vermont / Two Potters
Over the past year I have gotten to know this wonderful family while our girls were in pre school together. This spring when Becca asked me to capture her sweet family on their beautiful Vermont homestead, I was jumping for joy inside. Becca and Nathan are the husband and wife team over at Two Potters , two artists I completely admire. It’s always a huge honor to be hired and trusted by other artists that you look up too. Over the past year year Becca and I have talked a lot about running a small business from home, raising children and our art. I am so lucky to live in area with so many talented artists. Go over and check out Becca and Nathan’s website featuring their stunning wood fired pottery, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Summer outdoor family sessions are so much fun and this one didn’t disappoint. I showed up to their home on a perfect Vermont summer night, a soft breeze with beautiful light. As we spent the evening together, I was able to witness how much love this family had for each other. Little miss Z, all spunky and sweet loved her photo taken and little brother followed her every move. After sessions like these, I am always reminded how lucky I am to be able to capture these moments for my clients. Moments when your babies want to snuggle, nurse and run around playing in the garden. I know they will treasure these photos for a lifetime.
