Vermont newborn photographer / Quinton’s newborn session

The P family welcomed baby Quinton (loving his name btw) in early 2018. Quinton joined his family that already included  the most adorable big sister and brother, making this an amazing in home lifestyle newborn session to photograph. The big kids loved their new little brother and loved on him the whole time I was in their home. This sweet baby boy loved to be snuggled and wasn’t a huge fan of being swaddled. This was a fun session for me to photograph, not only is family super sweet but I have know Dad since childhood. It’s always extra special to photograph childhood friends and their families. To top off a wonderful session their home had the greatest dramatic light in the downstair bedroom, where most of Quinton photos took place.

Welcome earth side Quinton, you are so loved. I am  honored to have been able to capture the first “official” photos of this fun family.

I am still booking late spring into late summer newborn sessions. Contact me today to start planning your custom newborn session.

Vermont newborn photography/Vermont newborn sessions

Sweet Peyton slept like a dream for her newborn session, I didn’t see her eyes the whole time. I never know how baby will sleep or pose, so I just follow the direction of my littlest clients. Little P was sleepy so I took more of my “Minimalistic Newborn” style approach for her session. There is something magical about my “Minimalistic Newborn” sessions, the light and shadows, mixed with the clean bright white backdrop and moody black and whites. These sessions are mix between modern and timeless. I know P’s family will proudly display her portraits in their home for years to come.

I am still booking the remaining of my 2017 newborn sessions, both in home lifestyle and minimalistic. Contact me today to plan your custom newborn portraits session.

New York City Newborn photographer/ Luna’s newborn session

Vermont, New England, and NYC newborn photographer.

I traveled from snowy Vermont down to New York City for sweet Luna’s newborn session. Baby girl did not disappoint, she slept the whole time while swaddled and wide awake when not.  Big Brother B was wonderful with his new baby sister, and rocked his part of the session.

I loved every moment of this session and can’t wait to see Luna grow, until next time NYC.

2016 A year in review / Vermont, New England, NYC photographer

2016 A YEAR IN REVIEW.

Vermont, New England, NYC photographer.

As 2016 comes to a close, I sit here and look back over the year. This year was good to me in many ways, both personally and business wise. I am continued to be blessed with a healthy family and wonderful friends. Five children that despite my best efforts to keep little, they continue to grow.

2016 brought over 60 sessions, my busiest year yet. This year was also the first of many changes; a new business name, new website and blog. This year also brought my first time to have my worked featured and in print, a dream I have had since I started working. I was lucky enough to cross paths with photography community that felt like home. I stumbled across LooksLikeFilm late 2015 and I knew it a community that I wanted to be a part of. Early 2016 I started posting my newborn work on their Facebook forum, and I am proud to say I have been lucky enough to have 5 Daily Features over the year. When the opportunity came to attend their NYC workshop,  to meet and learn from some my favorite photographers from across the world. It was a no brainer that I had to go. In October I spent the week back in NYC with a group of 50 photographers from across the country and the world. To say that that week was life changing is understatement. I was reminded who I was an artist, what was important to as a business owner, and where I wanted to take my career.

As I say a bittersweet goodbye to 2016, I am reminded how wonderful this year was. I look forward to 2017, with any luck and hard work this year will be as good. Until next year!!!!

xoxo,

Kristy
