Vermont newborn & family photographer / Driver’s newborn session
I met this sweet family 17 months ago when I photographed their first baby boy Rowan. When they told me this spring they were expecting their second baby, I was thrilled for them. Last Monday we scheduled their beautiful river maternity session (blog to come) and its a good thing we did. Baby Driver joined his family earth side less than 24 hours later, I guess he was just super excited to meet his family a few weeks early.
I spent the day with Driver, his big brother, and parents photographing them in their home. Rowan and Driver’s nursery had the most beautiful light which was perfect for this in home session. A perfect mix between in home lifestyle and “The Minimalistic Newborn”. I love all of the macro details and curly womb like shots from this sweet newborn session.
I look forward to watching Rowan and Driver growing and capturing every milestone of these sweet brothers.

Sweet Peyton slept like a dream for her newborn session, I didn’t see her eyes the whole time. I never know how baby will sleep or pose, so I just follow the direction of my littlest clients. Little P was sleepy so I took more of my “Minimalistic Newborn” style approach for her session. There is something magical about my “Minimalistic Newborn” sessions, the light and shadows, mixed with the clean bright white backdrop and moody black and whites. These sessions are mix between modern and timeless. I know P’s family will proudly display her portraits in their home for years to come.
I am still booking the remaining of my 2017 newborn sessions, both in home lifestyle and minimalistic. Contact me today to plan your custom newborn portraits session.

When sweet baby D’s mother contacted me about an upcoming in home lifestyle newborn session, I was thrilled. I find it very special when clients want to capture their newborn’s first days in their own homes. There is something so calming about in home lifestyle session and the E family session was no different. What a wonderful family, by the end of the day it felt like I had known them for years. The “E” family’s home had the most amazing natural light and their beautiful old farmhouse was the perfect backdrop. Little man did not make a peep for his whole session and I didn’t see his eyes once. It was a true joy to photograph their sweet new baby boy.
I was blown away when little man’s photo won me a “Top sixteen of 16” from www.hellodearphotographer.com , a complete honor from one of my favorite photography community and forums.
2016 A YEAR IN REVIEW.
Vermont, New England, NYC photographer.
As 2016 comes to a close, I sit here and look back over the year. This year was good to me in many ways, both personally and business wise. I am continued to be blessed with a healthy family and wonderful friends. Five children that despite my best efforts to keep little, they continue to grow.
2016 brought over 60 sessions, my busiest year yet. This year was also the first of many changes; a new business name, new website and blog. This year also brought my first time to have my worked featured and in print, a dream I have had since I started working. I was lucky enough to cross paths with photography community that felt like home. I stumbled across LooksLikeFilm late 2015 and I knew it a community that I wanted to be a part of. Early 2016 I started posting my newborn work on their Facebook forum, and I am proud to say I have been lucky enough to have 5 Daily Features over the year. When the opportunity came to attend their NYC workshop, to meet and learn from some my favorite photographers from across the world. It was a no brainer that I had to go. In October I spent the week back in NYC with a group of 50 photographers from across the country and the world. To say that that week was life changing is understatement. I was reminded who I was an artist, what was important to as a business owner, and where I wanted to take my career.
As I say a bittersweet goodbye to 2016, I am reminded how wonderful this year was. I look forward to 2017, with any luck and hard work this year will be as good. Until next year!!!!
